Anyone have any idea where i can get a wrote off or accident damaged sti on an 03 plate or newer.

I need quite a few parts to progress my car and get it back on the road and am thinking that this could be the cheepest way to source them.

I have the facility (Through a friend) to buy from salvage even if break only but just cant lay myhands on one anywhere?

Any help / direction would be much appreciated.

Im actually after gearbox and brakes which are the main 2 items however wouldnt mind the interior and a few other little bits.

Ive built mine up from a 02 wrx now running (or was......should i say) 414BHP but with standard gearbox. I knew it wouldnt last long but since i finished it i started my own business so all my spare pennies have gone into that.

Now we have a unit and a fair amount of space so have done the figures and reckon that the cheepest way to improve the spec to something i would be happy with back on the road again is to buy an accident damaged sti and have the 6 speed box, brakes, interior, dials and wouldnt mind putting the back bumper and lights onto my bug too.....

Therefore if i can pick a damaged one up circa £4K it would be worth it.......... And maybe start a rally car project........

Any help or pointers would be greatly appreciated.

Buy an undamaged one and take the bits off your car and fit them to that.

Less f@cking about, Better chance of getting a result. You could utilise your facility to sell whats left of your car (through your friend) and get a return on the extra to pay out for a decent car.

If you want a doner car for yours though, ukcarsalvageauctions.co.uk or somewhere similar does accident/stolen recovery

No often a scrappy will sell you the whole car, cause its worth more in parts..
