for a 8mm id bore size, would that be -6 or -8?

You will want -6 or 6AN as it is otherwise known.

I went for the Goodridge 811 series hose as it will not leak fumes/vapour. This needs to be used with 811 fittings. Merlin Motorsport or Demon Tweaks can supply. It isn't cheap though. I recently sold about 12 foot of brand new/unused 811 hose for about half price.

Alternative is Earls. Their swivel seal fittings (in either Ano Tuff or red/blue) are excellent and can go with a number of the hoses they supply. As it is only for under the bonnet, you shouldn't have to worry so much about leaking fumes. However, make sure the hose you buy is suitable for E85/methanol etc in case you decide to go that way in the future.

best

I think you will need the AN connectors to use the braided fuellines!
Bought from MCGillMotorsports as well and it was more than fast delivery to Austria as well as perfect quality of the fuellines, overall perfect deal!
