Classic Front Suspension Leg - URGENT!
Hey all,
Urgently need a front drivers side suspension leg (spring not required but will take if need be) to fit a Classic import '96 wrx sti type ra.
Cash on collection, ideally tomorrow, can travel upto about 2 hours if need be.
- got part way through fitting some lowering springs and found the leg in question to be totally knackered - only thing that was holding it up was the spring Really need to get one tomorrow if possible though since I won't get time to do it during the week and I'm trying to get the car back on the road for the first time in over a year in time to do the memorial run for Rob Gallagher next weekend.
Any help would be massively appreciated peeps!

Thanks for taking the time to read this thread and make offers guys but it looks like I won't be getting the car ready in time now for other reasons
Since that's the case, i'm gonna take the time to go over the full suspension setup properly as I think one of the rear legs / struts may not be in particularly good shape either ..... probably going to end up just biting the bullet and replacing the whole lot
Floyd - is the set you have from a wrx or an sti mate? - happy to be corrected but my understanding was that the sti ones had a different damper rate to the wrx ones. If that's the case then I'm only looking for sti ones

OK, IMO the MY99/00 one's that I have, which are very 'fresh' will be slightly softer than WRX/STi verisons. But, any WRX/STi versions that you are likely to find will be old and softer than mine unless you can find new or nearly new.
If that's not good enough then I have a set of Prodrive struts and springs but I'll be asking much more for this 'factory option' kit than the OE set...

Wouldn't disagree with what you're saying at all to be honest Floyd - especially considering some of the dog-rough looking shocks I found on fleabay lol!
Guess we all have our ocd's when it comes to our cars though - one of mine (the list is long lol!) is wanting to only fit 'the same as' or 'better than' spec parts. Despite the un-arguable logic in your post, my brain still says "but it's not sti or better"
