Pele, unless you are going for upwards of 500bhp then you dont need a CDB in my opinion.
This is backed up by various people running standard EJ20 blocks up to that level, standard sti2.5s beyond that level.
Its turning out to be scoobynet myth number 753 that you need cdbs, save your money.
of course if you want 600 plus then go for it

That's some cracking advice from Peanuts.
You'll be fine with your stock block if you're not going for 500bhp+ The walls on the stock block are fairly thick.
Would still be interesting what Hudson wants for his block though as I may want to have a spare incase my 2.5cdb goes **** up.

more and more people are pushing the stadard OE stuff further and further to more and more success imo and long may it continue
