I have sold my R5 Turbo, now I am looking for a Scooby ASAP.

I have about 14k to spend
Needs Full Subaru service history
NO WRX or IMPORTS (Insurance is too expensive)
Needs Air Con
No heavy Mods, I can live with exhaust, spoiler, wheels mods.
NO Reds, Greens, or Whites
Colour preffered - DBM, Reddish Blue, or Silver.
The car needs to be local to me or surrounding areas

Cheers

Try Roger Clark Motorsport, they used to have some stock, not been there for a while so not sure if they are still in the 'game'
Might be cheaper than official dealer prices

i am looking to sell mine soon if a good price is offered. It's a silver 4door uk model. N reg. nearly 80k on the clock but it perfect condition. It's going for a replaced clutch now and a service. Previously it had full service history but i've changed to using another garage which deals with subaru's also and does the job cheaper than chapelgate for more than £300! It has a few mods but nothing to heavy. Got some pieces of a STI. Bucket seats, spoiler, interior etc. It has a pioneer md head unit worth over £500 with cd changer, kenwood amp and infnity sub.Haven't had it long, just too blimin expensive to run for a student!

Good stuff Vinesh! How are you finding it? (And I don't mean "I walk out of the door and it's there )

Are you missing the 5 at all? Different beasts completely, aren't they.

Sounds like you got a good car for good money.

Chiark

I haven't got the car yet. I have put a deposit down, as the owner is going to have the 30k serive done on saturday. I will collect the car the week after.

We went for a test drive and it is a completly different car. Solid, quiet, when u shut the doors it feel safe and the interior is comfy.

The owner showed me what its capable of doing. Round abouts in 3rd or 4th gear, and sharp bends in 3rd gear, it sticks to the ground. If this would have been my R5 then I would be in 2nd gear and 3rd if I feel confident. The scooby gives u a major grin factor, I was still grinning on the way home.

I missed the R5 when the new owner collected, but now I can't wait to bring home the Scooby.

As soon as I get the car I going to have my clifford concept 500 installed and get a disklock.

I will post some pics when I get the Scooby, and maybe post a few pics of my old R5.

Seems like only a couple of weeks ago there were loads for sale!?

I found the car in autotrader and it was local. I tried my local dealers, but they wanted stupid money for it, so I decided to for private. The one i've brought still has warrant outstanding til oct 2002.

When u'r looking to buy a car, u don't see any decent ones. When u don't want one u see loads.

Good luck mate.
