Default Scoob wanted.

Hi people. Looking to buy a "Decent" Scooby. Looking for a low ish miles classic but more importantly it has to have been VERY well looked after. Don't want to have to fork out thousands weeks after buying it. Love the STIs (although would consider anything), not fussed about colour. Would consider small mods. I have cash waiting.
Any out there?
Luke

Very nice. In no real hurry to buy at mo although if the right 1 turns up etc. I have a Peugeot 307 Hdi for sale so I'd have to get rid of my sensible motor first mate.

Its nice but seems expensive. Don't know much about them at the mo but is it a special 1. Iv seem stis loads cheaper than that. Whats the normal lifespan of a rebuilt engine?

Hi Luke,

One of the last classic shapes with revised interior. It’s a Version 5 (Model year 1999 - GC8F4ED). Original lightweight model with STI spec. engine and drive train - not to be confused with std. WRX. Quite a rare colour also.

Rebuilt standard engine, with standard STi V5 crank. Should last imo another 80,000 to 100,000 miles if looked after and regularly serviced. The original lasted to 87,000 but then succumbed to the very common crank / bearing issue that is usually seen at much lower mileages. (FYI - Subaru would not fit a later spec. crank and give warranty on the engine when they re-built it).

I hope this is of help and if its not what your after good luck with your search.
