Goosed but complete UK 97/98 2000 turbo engine, local to Peterborough/Cambridge
Yes, thats right, I want a goosed, blown, beyond economical repair engine, otherwise complete, cheap and local to me, so that I can complete a spare engine for my 2 Scoobs.
Am I mad, maybe, but I have a good block from Morpheus (thanks mate ), heads and manifolds from my knocking engine , but am missing all the timing gear, covers, flywheel, heatsheilds etc. which is stopping me building a spare engine.
Have been pricing up and, although the missing parts are not that expensive, the postage of bits from here there and everywhere is astronomical making a spare engine economically non viable.
Ideally I want it to the point that it is a drop in unit ie, hoik the old one out, bung the spare in and fire it up, go to work the next day. Reckon about 8 to 10 hours. Yes, I have done an engine change on one of these and, providing you don't have to swap any bits over, it is perfectly possible.
So if anyone local to me has a complete but goosed UK 97/98 engine cluttering up their garage they would like to swap for a few notes, please let me know, I can collect.
Heres hoping, but I'm in no hurry....

Thanx for the contact subaru_king, checked your post and found your motor is a MY99 onwards. Afraid that engine is different to mine, not sure what the differences are tho, or what parts are compatable.
Thanx anyway and good luck selling the rest off
