Default 2.5L 4-cam

My 1996 legacy engine overheated and is now scrap; intermittent problem that the garage couldn’t track down, don’t you just love those EJ25s!

So I need a new one…

I’ve tried API and scoobyclinic with no luck. Anybody know where I can get one?

Higher priced as well, I presume

You know from the spec it's not going to be cheap.

For the longblock I'm asking 7000 eur.

However, I do not know how your ECU would cope with it

Aha. Too much of a headache...

Anyone else out there know where I can get a new engine... or want a Legacy without one

Afraid I don't have an engine for you but was wondering what you are doing with your old one as mine has run a big end and I could do with a crankshaft and possibly a conrod.
By the way, if you had luck finding a second hand engine let me know where you got it, there like hen's teeth.

Cheers
Graham
