A friend of mine is a keen car restorer

he is after the following car. the condition is not too important, but must be as complete as pos.

Ta Steve

Crysler Sunbeam GL of LS 930cc. these cars were made in about 1977 and production ran for a couple of years or so.

Cool

Is this the one the same shape as the Lotus ? ie hatch ? my Dad has a silver 1500cc (I think) auto, in his garage waiting for the day when a collector wants one, it's a bit tatty but all there and in running order.
Let me know if it's of interest.

Why does he want that particular model of Chrysler Sunbeam - can't be more than 4 or 5 still on the road and pretty close to zero value even restored ?

Why anyone would want the 40bhp model with the bored out Hillman Imp engine I can't imagine, but these seem to be among the most common survivors< after the Lotus models, as they tended to be owned by grannies who looked after them.
I've seen a couple for sale in the last year, but I can't remember where. I think they were in Classic Car Weekly.

There is an owners club for these things, and they even have their own forum ! :
