is it only the downpipe cat or also the "front pipe" (the short section with a resonator in it that usually houses the cat on a UK hawk?

Yes and no, depends if you have the full system or not, there are differences (downpipe length/centre section length) otherwise if its the full system it will fit, if its not then it wont.

Hi Tony, yes its the full system so should be good to go... Only issue is the op seems to have vanished... So not looking like he wants it

Tony I thought this was only the case for the UK hawk 2.5 sti V newage 2.0 as the JDM hawk runs the vf37 unit the same as the blob so it has the same exhaust setup and lengths?

Indeed, the 03 system is different to the one used on the hawk. The downpipe is shorter, the front pipe longer and the midpipe has two resonators on it.

It would probably fit a hawk, but I need something 100% OE so I cannot use this system. Sorry buddy.

It will fit and that is 100% no if or but about it and would be completely oe ( providing crazys exhaust is all original )

As far as I was aware the hawk exhaust lengths are only different for the UK cars, so a hawk downpipe is shorter of that of a UK blob and the centres make up the difference to the backbox.

Blob and Hawk JDM cars share the same exhaust until they went to the hatch, they run the same turbo charger and have the same downpipes as far as I'm aware and have not seen differing part numbers anywhere I've looked

Either way crazys exhaust will for your car with absolutely no issues.

The MY03/04 exhausts have different lengths to the 05-07 twin scroll units, downpipe and centre sections, shorter down pipe, longer (classic length) center, so unless you fit a full system including the downpipe, it wont fit (no mix and match except the back box).

I concur, that is correct.

I have a Hawk downpipe and first pipe twinscroll sports cat from Hayward and Scott I am debating about putting up for sale again if interested. But dont have the rest of the system.
