As I say in the title of the thread, has anybody seen any cars registered on the new ‘13’ plate yet?

I haven’t seen any at all.

I appreciate that sales of new cars is on the slide and that some people view the number 13 as unlucky which consequently might impact further on sales but I am surprised to have not seen any at all.

Contrast that to the years 2007 2008 2009 when new cars were absolutely everywhere.

Did see a whole lorry load of white 13 plate Fiat 500's on the M4 t'other day, doubtless on their way to be driven badly around the place...

Dont quote me on this , but the south of ireland changed their reg so it didnt have 13 in it this year (superstition)

Seen quite a few a guy in work has a white 13 plate polo gti, very nice too, and all the DHL trucks in work are 13 plate as well

Well after three weeks of seeing none and putting up this thread I saw two 13 plate Ford Fiestas within the space of about 5 minutes this morning in Usk. Funny that.

The one Fiesta was a lovely shade of blue. Fôrd seem to produce some good colours these days.

I see a lovely white Impreza Saloon fairly often in Usk too. It's got white wheels.
What makes it all the more noteworthy is that it is sometimes parked next to the RB320 that's always parked in the main car park in Usk. The pair look lovely side by side. One being black with black wheels and the other being white with white wheels.

I am no fan of the hatchback but the later model saloon grows on me quite a lot.

I've seen some, but thought they were changing them to 131 to save the slump on car sales?

that makes sense but the ones I saw has only '13' in the usual place on the plate.

I was wondering if we will see a spike in sales of '63' plates in September.

Apparently the DVLA were going to allow the continuation of 62 plate registrations until the change over to 63 due to the amount of superstitious people not wanting a 13 plate

The white impreza saloon is my mums,( she swapped the hatchback)
She does like parking next to the Rb320 both look good
