Default Out of action for a while

Next thursday sees me going into hospital for a spinal fusion operation which will put me out of action for the next 4-5 months what with rehab.

i've been getting slowly worse over the last few years and this is the final solution.I just hope it bloody works
The worse point is i'll be missing all the big meets this year which my son is more upset about haha (spoilt brat)

Anyway safe journeys to all that goes and hope you have great weather for them.
Just got to park the car up early next week, get a cover over it and dissconnect the battery, any more can wait. Hope to see you all as soon as i'm fit.Hopefully i will still be ok to drive it.

If any body is interested they're going to split me down the middle and cut out the collapsed discs, then using a wedged ring of plastic filled with a coral type material and push it between my discs. Then they will hold that in place with a titanium plate which will be screwed onto the above and below spinal bones.
I will be having two discs done so two lots of titanium (i'll be worth more than the car haha ) it's called an anterior fusion with cage and plates and if you're not squeemish i found a video which shows 1 being done.

enjoy and tata for now

Blinking flip young man you don't do things by halves do you.

I remember you telling me a while ago that if your condition got worse that you would be facing a major operation to sort it out, but that is a huge operation for anyone to consider having done let alone actually going ahead with it.

My very best wishes and good luck (not that I would hope that luck will come into it), forget about the car and shows for this year.

I am sure that there will be plenty of pics for you to look over, just concentrate on being 100% for next year.

If you need anything then you only have to ask and I am sure that goes for all of us in SWS.

ps after you are all sorted out don't go using your body as a ramp/support for a mini.
