With the planed shakedown at margam being cancelled because of some tree disease and being moved to Cardiff bay i was wondering if anyone has any details on the new shakedown venue i'e surface, stage length ect and would it be worth a look at 7pm on a wednesday night, the other thing i was wondering is if its affected the shakedown how/why has'nt it affected the sunday stages of the rally

It's political. As usual. Same as moving service from Swansea to Cardiff bay and then still having shake down in Swansea.

Nevermind it won't be here next year??

As Margam is the last stage, there's (apparently) less chance of cross infection, hence that stage actually running on Sunday. If shakedown was still at Margam then those attending would no doubt visit other areas of forestry during the rally.

As for maps, check out the Motorsport/Rally subforums, there's a link to Google earth maps of the stage there. Alternatively, if you want the standard maps, PM me your email address and I'll forward them
