Hi all

Just picked up a cheap 96 WRX yesterday and im not to sure on the history on it, its been in the country since 07 but i cant find any details to see if its been mapped for uk fuel.
Can anybody recommend a tuner/enthusiant or can give a little fettle/setting up and change the map for UK fuel?
I'm thinking the damage would be already done if its been here since 07 and hasn't been mapped but would just like someone to give it a once over and tell me what they think.

Thanks
Coleman

Hello Coleman, welcome to the site.

We all have different preferences with garages etc based on location experiences etc so stick around and I'm sure somebody on here will know someone in your neck of the woods.

I use ACE Motorsport in Newbridge, Gwent but he may be a bit far for you.

He doesnt map cars at any rate.

Happy Scoobying fella

Hullo mate,

Sorry to give you the bad news but early Classics cannot be simply re-mapped. You'll need to get an ECU change or board change in the ECU.

http://www.jollygreenmonster.com/Jol...ster.co.uk.htm

http://www.brdevelopments.com/index.html

Does it have an BIMTA/Service history etc at all?

At least it's the 260 PS Version not the 240.

Get some pics up so we can have a better look

Just looked at the jollygreenmonster site and is it the ESL Live mapping i need? So about £520?

Was just having a little look at the Bob Rawle site before you posted it, some good advice on it.

Think my plans are better turbo, fmic, injectors and a 255l pump then get jollygreenmonster to come out and map it for me(im sure it said he was mobile)

Thanks
Coleman

P.S i'll get some pics up later today, nowt special though, just think of a White WRX on 17" blobeye rims and thats pretty much it.

Welcome to the site fella, I`ve got a 1995 WRX Import, run her on V-power or Tesco Momentum only. If you take up the carpet in the passenger footwell you`ll find the ECU under the plate.
If you take it apart you`ll easily see if there has been any work done as it will have an extra board in it.

Here`s my ecu to give you some idea.

As far as I know they fit the daughter board to the empty pins in the top left of the ECU board.

Get some pics of your car up!!

Hi and welcome to the wonderful and constant wallet draining world of Impreza ownership.

The group buy BD referred to has finished but I can speak to Bob Rawle when you are ready to sort out a remap. I have arranged for another couple of members after the offer finished and still managed to secure for them the special pricing.

Bob is probably one of if not the best mappers in the Impreza world, he is mapping my third Impreza in October.

I think your best option would be an ESL daughterboard which piggybacks onto your existing engine ecu, this can now be done 'live' on the road. Bob is in Swindon which is not too far away but he can also offers mobile mapping but it would be best if you could arrange a few others to share the extra costs.

Usually to be seen parked on top of the roundabout by Nathaniel Car Sales, should be easy enough to spot.
