Hi - have you uprated the fuel pump and injectors as I would recommend you do, sti pink injectors and a Walbro pump (or similar).
Bob Rawle I can vouch as I have had mine mapped by him.

Hi Mate, Bob works from Swindon. it's a short distance and a great drive home !!, there was a group buy running on here, have a peek at the threads in that, I did all my mods before I went up to him, I can give you his email address if you want him to do it OR get some advice, by letting him know what you are looking for, with the Mods you have now.
There are others, Jolly Green Monster and Andy Forrest - all great names in the tuning business I think Bob will charge about £600 initially, you pay less if you have an Ecutek licence, ie if your car's been mapped before and any future tweek is around £300. The group buy was good value at around £450 - but I think it's all done now.
Cannon Fodder is your Man to speak, to re Bob
Si.

You definitley want to be looking at changing the injectors and fuel pump, also you might have a cat in your exhaust up pipe which if removed would free up some more power.
I dare say that Bob could change these parts for you but he maps the cars, you would be better off finding a local specialist / enthusiast who could change these for you just prior to a mapping session.
I have used Bob twice myself and very shortly for a third map so I know how good he is and how he can transform your car.
Also you might want to think about junking the boost controller you have fitted and fit a Subaru 3 port boost solenoid, as when the car is mapped there will be no real need for the boost controller you have fitted. ( I believe anyway)
And there are far too many Ty's on here for my liking now.

It all depends on what you use the car and how much you have. I would recommend changing the fuel pump for a walbro 255L pump. If it one thing you don't need is the lack of fuel getting to your engine. If your not going for big power then a good panel filter will do. And I would definitely get it remapped thats where you'll see a huge difference in your car. I had mine mapped by A Forrest and would recommend him. But, you wont go wrong with any of the three mentioned above.

Can I throw a spanner in the works here?
The standard pump is perfectly good for 400ish bhp. The welbro 255 pump performed poorly in the latest version of Total Impreza. Far worse than a STANDARD pump.
I personally would save the moneyyou would have paid for the pump and put it towards either injectors, parrallel fuel rails or re-map. But this is my personal opinion.
In case your wondering it in the JUL/AUG issue on page 50.

The Spec C one is similar flow to the Walbro!
I had a Walbro on my UK Turbo because I was getting bad fuel cut with the OEM one. Maybe the JDM WRX/STi are slightly better flow but couldn't fault upgrading in my MY00 and my current STi. Unfortunately, I'm at the limit of the 255lph Walbro in mine at 'only' 475bhp

If you do chose Bob,then i can also highly rate him.
I had my bugeye 01 sportwagon mapped for its first time back in June with him.
And with only a k&n panel filter, a turbo back 3" exhaust system with sportcat and a walbro 255 fuel pump it made 285 bhp and 293 lb /ft of torque which satisfies my power thirst.
For now anyway !

I wouldn't quote anything from Total Impreza as the quality of reporting is clearly rubbish!

My Bug Wagon ran similar figures to Muttley. But a word of caution 300BHP on a standard gearbox and clutch is quite close to the limits.
Some say it's fine but more have had to go down the uprated clutch route. Somemore food for thought.
Also consider a JDM STi Bugeye fuel pump, better spec than a WRX/UK STi, ran fine in mine and people ditch them for Walbro's so should be cheap.
