Look at buying a run around for a few hundred quid it pays for itself in no time.

I found that it is cheaper to buy a cheap run about for daily use and keep the scoob for fun drives than to run the scoob as a first car.

Why dont you just do that?

something like a pug 106 diesel that costs a few hundred quid to buy.

Insurance in minimal and you'll get 60mpg.

I did this when I had my last scoob and I'll be doing it again soon.

I havent done so yet as I'm enjoying using the scoob as my first car but I often use my girlfriend's fiesta.

Come september I'll have another beat up 106. Cracking little tin pots they be.

Defo, i bought a 406 diesel about 10 months ago for a grand and its paid for itself already! Just keep the scoob for weekends. You've spent too much on it to let it go for that.

Can't really comment. That's up to you to decide.

Plenty on here that run a little banger during the week: SSS (Posh banger), Simb, Taylor, TurboDean used to.

I drive a Van during the week and then have the scoob for weekends etc

I have a 106 diesel run around it is so cheap to run. Can get to Bristol and back on a quarter of a tank, that's awsome. It really makes owning an impreza far cheaper.

I find myself driving the Mrs's Swift Sport more than my Scoob, so much better on fuel but it's just so much fun I've been thinking of getting rid of the Scoob but I don't think anything will replace it TBH (and I was offered a very good price ).

A cheap runaround will keep you in the Scoob Ry

Danny... it took a few years of bangers to get a nice runabout once more it has to be said, it was like starting all over again. You will not go far wrong with a Fiat though that's what I will add.... had a matt red Punto followed by something even smaller all funded by fuel savings. I'm enjoying the 50mpg Diesel VW these days it has to be said.

I have a bit of a thing for rusty old Landrovers bloody things!

Great for a little local running around in but distance and speed is a no no.

My last one cost £67 to insure for a year
