Would fixing it lift you out of depression, and breaking it be admitting defeat, plummeting you further in? Just trying to gauge where your mind is.
Bad news by the way, dont be a long term victim of the depression.

I'd be willing to help, as my garage is like a Subaru scrap yard and you could probably build three engines from parts I've collected over the years.

Sorry to hear about your problems with the car and your depression, perhaps it might be worth taking a step back and coming back to it when you are feeling better.
But if you are determined to rebuild her then it might give you a focus and with other peoples help, knowledge and eyes you should be able to breathe new life into her.
I am totally useless with the spanners but if I can help in any other way then please just let me know.

Step by step mate.
Set yourself some goals that you know you can achieve. When you get there look for another but make it slightly harder but again achievable.
Hopefully the positives will start to outweight the negatives. Postive is what you need
Sounds simple but I know but it's not, only you can set the path with the required enthusiasm and hopefully your family and friends are behind you.
Your getting positive feedback on here already, don't forget - By failing to prepare, your preparing to fail.
Don't let the bast**ds grind you down.

Dont forget mate that Health is more important than anything else.
Personally i would send the car away and get the engine built. Ok it may not be up to such a spec that you could build yourself due to having to pay someone to do it but after a couple of weeks you will have a smile back on your face from behind the wheel of your Scoob

Hope you sort things out
Your health is more important than some piece of metal.
Is it me or when you havn't got your car or if it's fcuked. Its like a part of you broken as well
Especially when like some you've spent loads of time/money on it as well.
If the car makes you happy then fix it pronto
Almost 2 months without a scoob... not for long tho, I'm nearly there
