Default Got the car back on the road

Just thought id say hello, ive met a few local people and been to one or two meets, but thought id say hello on here tho. will be coming to the pembrey car show so hopefully meet a few more ppl.

After being of the road for the last 6months due to work going slow ive finally got it back although going from 50mpg back to the usual 20mpg will take some getting used to again lol.
Had it remapped yesterday after fitting the front mount and ported headers it made 311hp/284lbft from 288/274, it pulls much harder when it comes on boost now, also had the geo done while i was in powerstation.
Done a whole load of other mods while its been garaged, but am a little closer to how i want it looking and performing. (although that changes weekly as i get bored quickly with these things )

Got a few pics when it was on the dyno, but will take some better ones in the light soon. let me know what you think of it.

Hello again

You have made a nice job of fitting that it looks dead level and stealthy in black I would be tempted to mount the plate a little higher to get as much air in there as possible if you don't mind the input

See you at Pembrey

Nolan which turbocharger are you running and has the front mount had any effect on lag?

I do like the intercooler in black as it does not draw attention , have you also thought about fitting a lower grille to protect against stone damage?

Top job, as above the cooler looks "cool" in black - did you spray it or was it black anyway

Cheers for the comments guys.
have been thinking of lifting the number plate a few inches, noticed it was flapping like mad when on the rollers, or get a square one, not sure
Am happy how it came out aswell, even made some new brackets because it wasnt sitting right with the ones with it, also made the dv return pipe/bracket and one for the catch can.
I sprayed all the pipes matt black my self and gave the core a dusting of matt aswell, not too keen on shiny bling so went the black standardish looking route.
Its a hybrid fmic i had second hand off someone on here and running a vf28.
Was a bit worried about lag with the front mount aswell so thats why i had the headers ported by harvey the same time, there is a small amount of lag but with the improvement in power this is a small price i think. (plus the vf28 isnt a spectacular turbo for spool anyway)

Have been thinking of some kind of mesh grill to protect it, simon kindly pointed me in the direction of some mesh from halfords, when i get time will have to make something up for it.
Oh cheers for the lights Ty, changes the look of the back completely.

Nice blobeye matey, really like the stealthy look with the wheels and the new front mount, wee bit of chunky black mesh would really finish off the front end

Good luck with the car, was it just off the road for 6 months or was it away getting work done?

Yeah some sort of chunky black mesh would be nice.
Was off the road to save some money as in running costs but ended up doing alot more to it.
First off i needed to change a wheel bearing and break pads, then i decided to change the shocks and springs then went for front mount and ported headers, fancied doing the de-badged grill and the blacked headlights, then i bought front arb and drop links and finaly decided to get the wheels re-done in anthracite, so ended up spending alot more than i intended lol
