Headlight outer lens cleaning ????
Has anyone used any specific cleaninig product on their Bug eye's headlights I've got the smoked style Sti ones as you can see from the Avatar pic, the drivers side in particular has a "milky" stain as if some sort of cleaning/Wax product has engrained on it, I've tried window and glass cleaner with no change and given it a good sponging with wash/wax I did read somewhere that you can use T cut or similar but a bit scared to use that, unless someone knows otherwise, cheers Guys n Gals..................................

Sorry mate, missed this thread.
Halfords do their own "rubbing compound" in the body repair section in a yellow tube. It works wonders on headlamps. I used to have plastic headlamps on my old Supra that used to yellow/cloud over like mad after a few months. This stuff worked wonders on them. Same for my E46 coupe, the plastic lenses were pretty scratched and this cleaned them right up. Goes on with a damp cloth, plenty of elbow grease then buff them up with some plastic cleaner/glass polish.
I think Ive got some here if you cant find any.

Hi Nice one thanks for that, I'll go and have a look to-morrow there's a milky/murky covering on the outside of the lens cover, drivers side is the worst, will be nice to give 'em a bit of a sparkle again, I know thay are "smoked" effect but they are very dull in comparison to others I've seen/had.

Will have a final go today at some point - there was a big yellow thing in the Sky earlier ! not quite sure what it is but it stops rain (sort of).
