That's a bit strange!! I've used my lights etc but my battery still went flat!! I think using aircon will recharge the battery in some way!!

Not a new fault with the Newage. It's a feature built in to the alternator circuit.

If you search on here there is a Techy reason explained.

the scooby assist guy used a power pack to start my car then put a amp meter on the battery which was showing 12.whatever told me to put lights on then meter read 14. whatever so it proves the battery started charging when the lights were turned on

no way, this happened to me recently, i have a PSI3 datamonitor, and it shows no charge unless something electrical is switched on i.e. 11.8v - 12v, so i put the blower on its minimum setting and get a consistant 13.8v, you hardly hear the blower, but i deffo does the trick. had no probs since. (btw mines a '07 wrx)

On a newage it is correct they do not charge unless battery needs it

On a previous MY05 STi Type UK I had, was a great motor but no matter what I did it needed a new battery every few months. I must have had 5 new ones fitted in 18 months.

It was a daily driver with 350+ miles per week at least & even with side lights on the battery would go flat. My dealership did all the tests & found nothing wrong, they just put put a new battery on when it went flat! (at no charge to me)

Had enough & put my name down for the RB & its awsome!
