FAO RED2 and scoobynetters
Hi
Bit of a dilemma, the alloy wheels i've been lookin at only come in 18x8 which is to wide for the rear of the classic in the colour i want. I can get the same alloys but in silver at a witdh of 7.5J Happy Days but I would like to have them done in Graphite/gunmetal.
Im looking at buying the Silver wheels and then to have them coated. I've heard that RED2 has used 'Castle Coatings' im interested as to the cost and service from these guys?
Also if there is any other companies in the south wales area that you guys have used please could you let me know of your experiences.
Thanks again guys, Ryan.

Ryan,
What you have to be careful of is what you get for your money. Some companies leave the tyres on and just spray them. Or they may take the tyres off and again just spray them.
But what you need is the full tyres off bead blast, prime coat and laquers as per Castle Coatings and Renowheel.
Renowheel actually spin them and remove buckles, dings and then get the wheels balanced and then refit them. Top work but not cheap

I was actually thinking about buying the wheels brand new and then having them painted. But I suppose looking for a second hand set could be an option if i'm going to get them resprayed anyways.

Oh nice one mate, the wheels i've been lookin at are brand new and i'll have them without tyres so there will be no need to mess about. That price is a little more appealing though going to see what deal the guy with the alloys can offer me, Cheers RED
