Default Totally p***** off!

Over the last few weeks I have been getting the bits together to fit a Newage IC to the Classic.

Today it all came together ............................................or so I thought

I stripped out the old IC...............easy.

Stripped out the piping that connects to the induction pipe and and it came off a little too easy........................................

F**K
The connector that the pipe from the DV goes onto has been kinked in on itself as it's only plastic and when I try and connect the new pipe and tighten the spring clip or jubilee clip it slides off

So, has anyone fitted posh induction piping that goes to the turbo?

The bit between the elbow and the turbo itself? Not the airbox, not the elbow but the next bit.

HELP!

If I fell in a bucket of tit's at the moment I'd come out sucking my thumb!

Ian I don't know if he can help but you could try PM'ing adge and see if he can help, he runs adgespeed and I have bought a few bits and pieces from him.

If he cannot help then he will try and get it for you.

Google adgespeed and you should be able to find his website and from that his mobile number.

Kev,

I am thinking of putting in a metal sleeve to solve the problem but it's a pig to get at and I may as well get a replacement in and fitted.

It's OK at the moment but I had sold the IC and DV to someone and I have had to let them down.

I think you mean this one

Ian don't know if this is the hose you are after but there is a Perrin version on eBay as below:

BRAND NEW PERRIN 3INCH TURBOHOSE FOR SUBARU IMPREZA STI on eBay, also Engine Tuning Parts, Performance Tuning Parts, Car Tuning Styling, Cars, Parts Vehicles (end time 06-Jun-09 17:08:06 BST)

Don't know if this helps.

SAMCO Hose Kit-SUBARU IMPREZA WRX/Sti VERSIONS 5&6 INDUCTION(1) Samco Part-TB121
Thats the one Ian, its a shocking price!!
The OE pipes go brittle and can split after a while and even the oe pipes new cost a fortune. I think a metal sleeve is worth a shot other than that try awesome imports for a good secondhand replacement.

There are cheaper versions out there than Samco, autobahn etc

SUBARU WRX STI 1999-2000 TURBO AIR INTAKE PIPE SILICONE on eBay, also Engine Tuning Parts, Performance Tuning Parts, Car Tuning Styling, Cars, Parts Vehicles (end time 27-May-09 18:16:59 BST)

The standard subaru ones are £100+ i believe though so may be worth paying the extra for the Samco.

No one seems to have one. Awesome Imports don't. Looks like I'll have to widen the search.

I know loads of people have upgraded their induction systems but no-one seems to have the pipes left over.

Right then. One of the SWS members as gone and bought one of these for me, as a favour and without being asked.

I put a post up not long ago saying how awesome the guys on here can be.

This is just another example. Truly ...........................
