Default Place needed - turbo & fuel pump swap?

Well the car I was after has gone, so I am going to keep mine.

To cheer myself up, I am going to do what I have been promising I would eventually do to mine - swap the turbo & fuel pump, tweak the Tek3 map.

So where would you fellas go to have your turbo swapped and fuel pump??

Closer to Bridgend the better, but willing to travel a bit?

Ta,

Ian.

Do it yourself, not as hard as you think. The fuel pump is simple, its under the rear bench seat if i remember right. There's a metal panel held down by 4 screws, take that off and the pump is underneath, its a straight swap for the Walbro pump. The turbo is a bit trickier and if you need a garage to do it i'd recommend Dave Coe in Gorseinon, easy to get to, just a couple of miles off the Gorseinon turning M4. I'll try and jog my memory with the fuel pump, i'm in Bridgend also, if your stuck PM me.

Yeah I'd agree with the Fuel Pump change it's not too bad, did my Classic a few years back, if I remember it is under the back seat go in via a plate and into the fuel tank, swap over and refit, high caution with the fuel though, my tank was almost empty when i did it and I disconnected the battery.......

Dont think the word discount is in Dave's vocabulary He is a top quality mechanic though. Lots of happy customers proves that

not being funny but the work you want done is easy enough to do your self and I'm sure if you name a day that people on here will give you a hand offer tea coffee and food and i bet it will be cheaper than any garage will charge you

turbo and pump is easy just remember if fitting a different turbo get new bottom turbo to header gasket and a new turbo to down pipe gasket and get original as the aftermarket one's ar crap

I was playing poker with a mate of mine last night and he reckons we can do it no probs - he's swapped engines in the past so I trust him.

I have just bought a VF35 from Satpink on here - apart from gaskets then do I need anything else?

Oh and I presume gaskets then from CVC?

Cheers

Ian.

yes cvc or anywhere as long as they are original vf 35 is a good turbo just make sure you put alittle oil in the turbo where it's fed so its not dry on start up ( only a little tho ) other than that no problem

however is this the other one I need?:
