Default I'm back in business!

Picked up the scoob this afternoon after her second rebuild, this time with Dave Coe doing the magic. Bit the bullet and went for a fully forged engine.
I was lucky in the fact that my car came with the closed deck block, so didn't need to source one. Here's what went in:
JE forged pistons
Eagle con rods
ACL motorsport big end bearings
ACL main bearings
New water pump
New crank
Roger Clarke Motorsport oil pump
Motorsport Block Liners
All tappets stripped and re-conditioned
STi steel head gaskets
New 3 wire lambda sensor.

So now for the gentle, low boost running in period.
Glad to be back gang

Cheers guys, as said i was itching to get it back, especially when you all went out on the run. Was great fun driving it back, forgot how much of a little go-cart it was!

For some reason with scoobs money doesn't seem to be an object.

He's changed it twice already, now i have to do 500 miles on very low boost with semi synthetic oil, then back down for a service and for him to check it over and refill with Silkolene Pro S 10/50 fully synthetic. Then i'll do another 500 gentle miles to finish the running in.

Shouldn't be too bad Simb, a few gentle day out's ought to do it. As i use it everyday also it'll soon mount up. Abiding to the run in procedure will pay dividens in the end.

I hope so Calv, i don't want to make rebuilds my new hobby! I've gone the full hog this time and i don't intend to tune it any further, so hopefully i've just built the reliability factor in.

Cheers Ian, sticking with 328bhp, that's enough for me for everyday.

Going well cheers Kev. Got just under 200 on the clock so far. Another 300 miles and i'll take it back down to have a check over and oil and filter change, back to Silkolene 10/50 synthetic. Then i'll go gentle for another 500 miles, building her up slowly. Enjoying be back in it, forgotten how much it makes me smile.
