As some of you may know i am currently in Bridgend college doing vehicle maintenance and repair. If anyone knows of any light vehicle apprenticeships out there, and its not to much trouble please could you let me know.

hi ryan been there and done it and also worked as a machanic for vauxhall for a year or so and best place to get in is one that has all types of cars as all i done in vauxhall was service the same make car and they were all new and just need services all the time and only afew times done something different

when it comes to working on other cars then thats all you will know is the way around one type of model car so try get in a garage that works on all types of car, as places like peugeot/ citroen / vauxhall/ ford get very boring very quick as its all the same thing day in day out

They get all types of cars there but they are specialists in citroen and peugeot. Id be chuffed to get any automotive apprenticeship to be honest. As they are not the easiest to get these days

If you dont mind me asking how has your bro got 3 apprenticeships? Is he working for all 3 ? or just going to choose the best one?
Out of 30 people on my course, one boy has got one and he has had to go 2 england for that and so far ive got a 2 week trial.

right this time of year people drop because they dont realy like it, best thing to do is go to the garages see the service manager and ask him your self, try merc, nathaniel car sales have a work shop and u get to work on all sorts then, and i bet they would be interested then theres that garage by bp and mcds and kfc

not at moment the garage is in cearphilly but he lives in pencoed, would of been handy for you, they also run a rally car and are building a second at mo, and they take theyre apprentices with them rallying to help at service points, trust me if you go to a garage and ask they will think he is keen may be we should give him a try, been there done it and it worked
