Default Someone please buy my MY98 WRX Type R V-Limited!!!

Well guys, looks like I have made a huge mistake in taking on this little 'winter' project and now I am stuck with the MY98 WRX Type R V-Limited I bought in good faith to do up!!!

I feel really sad that this car is just sitting in dry storage, when it should be out ripping up the roads!!!

Most of all I just want is my money back so I can get the 22B finished...

I even got it MOT'd because someone waisted my time for 20 odd emails, said they would deffo have it and they would be coming to pic it up. On the day they were suppose to come (I had even taken half a day off work so I could pick them up), they backed out and left me even further out of pocket!!!

Give me some ideas guys, not sure where to advertise or what to do next!!! Should I even think about stripping it and selling for bits???

The car owes me just over £4K and here are some pics...

Sad to see this nice car without an owner
Just stick at it Richy, someone will come along soon i'm sure.

Dont break it it's way to good for that.

Pistonheads has always been good for me TBH I dont find SN is a very good place for selling cars.

Come on Daz where are you.

Have you thought about taking it to a couple of shows and trying to sell it there?

Can't believe no one wants this Richy!

Chuck a STi 5 Spoiler on there and I reckon thet would do the trick.

Again, can't believe no one wants this Rich, it's a cracker of a car for an awesome price!! As Kev says, Pistonheads is probably the best place to sell, I sold my left hooker classic on there to a guy in Sweden within about 3 weeks

Stick with it buddy, someone will buy it

Cheers for the replies guys and I think you are right, it is too good and rare a car to break (if it is actually a RA which I believe it to be)...

Maybe I should stick a spoiler on the back and a splitter on the front??? Money worth spending you think??? I did want to try and keep the car as it should be, "LIGHTWEIGHT"

Its deffo a type R Richy, its listed in Simb's impreza book which i've still got

IMO spending more money on it would be folly as it's more to try to recover, someone will buy as is i'm sure.

PS can I have the roof vent

Totally agree about keeping it lightweight but your reach a wider market with a more aggressive spoiler on the back. If someone wants to buy it for what it is they can always take it off.

Don't think so Kev, one of the guys from Staff's Scooby's saw this post and told his mate...

TBH Kev, not gonna get me hopes up cos they normally don't even bother to come!!! Not one of the people interested in the car have actually come to see it... If they had bothered it may well be sold by now!!!

I agree with the above, the spoiler would be great but I would stick a P1 front spoiler and splitter on it, some on ebay at the moment, now that would definitely work on the overall look of the car!! Front end just looks weak at the moment and very old school!

It's done 48,000 miles but was a fresh import last year, so only had the KM's converted then. I have it's first MOT in the UK to prove the mileage.

It really is mint underneath and in the engine bay...

No, still for sale... I had a really stupid offer last week, but as I said I want what I want for it and I think it's worth every penny...

End of the day, I'm not gonna make a loss on it... If I get my money back I will be happy.

It is a rare car and maybe it would have sold by now if I had put some 'go slower bits' on it, LOL!!!

Gotta laugh sometimes ain't ya!!! Woke up to this email this morning...

"to my knowledge they never made wrx type r's. these type r's only came with red top engine. it seems the cars got wrong block in it. also the intercooler is different, no strut brace.. they come standard with it."

Why people bother who obviously know sweet **** all about Impreza's I do not know...

My response was...

"No offence mate, but your knowledge on the Impreza (and the Impreza
Bloodline) is rubbish.

You can indeed get WRX Type R's and if you really knew about your Impreza's
you will know that it is only the STi Type R's that come with a red top
manifold, STi Aluminium Intercooler, Carbon Fibre Strut Brace, DCCD and
Intercooler Water Spray... I know, I own one aswell as this one!!!

Your obviously not interested in the car, so go and waste someone else's
time..."

I'm just waiting for the next keyboard warrior to be slain!!!
