or was it because some members were very stuck up and not very welcoming hence why we stoped atending meets, altough did meet some very nice people who we caught up with at jap fest, whilst the norm ignorant bunch just ignored us as normal!

Well Johnny, South wales scoobys was formed a few years back buy a group of about 6 or so after many years without any real identity, it grew and grew, into a highly respected region with support from all over the UK. Our home was here on S/net which is where you will still find most of the people. As with most clubs people come and go but we still have many time served members along with fresher faces, all are welcome
We have close links with SIDC and of course S/net and are well known across the UK.
We have no membership fee no silly rules about what you can or cannot drive, can or cannot wear or can or cannot do, we dont even have a membership list its all very relaxed, people can join in on as little or as much as they like . Its also an open forum what you read is how it is, no doggy closed shop's with events by invitation only, no secret meets for the chosen few, no sections where just the founders can comment its an open forum pain and simple.
It's not for me to tell you which one if any, or indeed both, you should join thats your choice. What I will say is that you and everyone else are welcome but its a two way thing, no point in wondering around the meet saying nothing, talk to people, let them know who you are, they WILL talk back we are all normal everyday people, well most of us
PS if you post is some sort of wind up then my reply will be of use to others as a history lesson!!
Cheers
Kev

I'm not a large poster on here, but a long time lurker, and to be honest, I'm amazed how pathetic this is all getting... I've resisted getting involved with the petty arguments that have been going on, but the time has come for me to say something...Every time it looks like the past few months have been forgotten, someone feels the need to have another dig and drag up all the grief again....
Jesus guys, can we just all grow up now? Some have decided to go their own way, me included, but still choose to have a look what's happening around SWS, not to pick a fight or to open up old wounds, just out of general interest in our shared love of the Scoob. As it's been said on a number of occasions, it's an open forum, lots of people from outside of SWS look in from time to time (probably a lot more frequently over the last few months) but we're not doing ourselves any justice, or any of the clubs that we are associated with by sticking in the knife at any opportunity...
I can only imagine that what used to be a respected part of SN is now falling into a laughing stock, where other areas come for a laugh to see who's next in line for some attitude.
Fortunately, as Johnny2007 has already said, CSC is a far more welcoming place than I have ever experienced here, and I don't even personally own a scooby. Perhaps thats why I've never been 'accepted' around these parts...
Anyways, it's been fun while it lasted.... sort of.... but I know where I'll be heading...
Infract away....
Jon.

Oh jonny for god sake make a little effort in your post ie typing .
because none of us clay class now what the f**k yours saying.
i never thought i would see the day where guys and girls of our age acting like this.REAL SAD DAY
this just goes to show the mentallity of people like yourself.
you have no ideal of when someone is having a laugh or being a sick and twisted person.
your really have no idea.
every meet i ever had the pleasure of attending i made every effort to speak to as many new faces as possible which when the weather wants to be kind
can be a lot people so its v hard to please everybody.
the big mistake that you guys made was never coming on a proper weekender up the pod with us.I think after that you would have totally changed your views on us all
the pod was my 1st meet by the way there was no toby then
now do youself a favor and all the peeps like you out there go play with all the lovely jubbly peeps of CSC and i think that every car club in europe will sleep a lot easier tonight.

Why bring this up again ?
Its just going to cause more arguments and if you do get infracted or banned then you have yourself to blame and nobody else.
I'm sorry thats my opinion and could be what both sides think, I maybe wrong.

And what all this about welcoming the "families" all the blinking time, getting fed up with that one, making out other clubs are not family friendly.
Seen as when we joined SN , I was told "yeah bring the kids" and the youngest Amelia was only just born then and we have taken all our girls to meets , shows ,events etc since and Amelia is 3 years old now.
So thats a long time at "family " meets where my kids played with everyone else's kids and had a whale of a time.
As Amelia would say " been there ,got the t-shirt" --literally
