Question Leaky Boot, Any ideas?

Seem to have a leek some where in my boot, the spare wheel well has some water in it, but the top of the carpet isn't wet.
Noticed before i changed my spoiler and assume that it was coming in through the spoiler holes, so when i fitted the new one i used loads of sealant to secure the spoiler aswell as the bolts.
But it's still the same, seal looks ok, any ideas where the water could be getting in?

Perhaps i'll take the back seat out and get the MRS's to spray the car with a hose while i'm in it.
I've always wash my cars with a fire hose, can't be any worse than a jet wash.
Can't understand how the top of the carpet is bone dry but the underside and the piece of board that covers the spare wheel is soaking.

It will be the rubbers, Remove it and push back on, should sort the problem

I had tghe same on mine, but that was a combination of spoiler wholes and rubber seal.

Might be worth cheaking the light seals aswell

I noticed this morning that mine is leaking too, carpet damp. I recently changed my rear lights to STis, buit the sealant was fine at the time - I'll check the rubbers.

It's going to one of the three I mentioned:

Spolier seal
Rubber seal around the boot
Seal around the lights

I'd be tempted with the light seal if you've had them out!!

When I had my lights out I removed all of the old sealent and replaced with black silicon.

I had a hand to replace them, the left one was still super sticky and sealed up fine. The right one looked like it had been replaced before, and came off very easily. It also had a different type of seal but again looked fine. The left side of the boot is the dampest, so not sure.

I'll have a look when its not pissing down.

Yeap, thought i best get the suspension sorted before my house goes through and i can't afford it, i know i've got a rear shock on it's way out.
So i've put a deposit on a set of Tein's which have done 8000 miles. Probably won't fit them for a while coz i want to fit the EDFC, a 22mm ARB and Drop links all at the same time.

And at this rate Ian I shall be pleased to see you taking my mantle over for spending other peoples money

Sounds like you have a great set up planned there Dean.... I've had uprated drop links on the rear since I had the springs fitted and just recently fitted a 22mm whiteline rear ARB and the difference is very suprising.... I can't understand why I never did this earlier. Don't wait for coilover fitting get them on straight away trust me.
