Default Job seeking

Evening all

May be a bit of a random thread, but was looking for help and know of very few places that could offer a wealth of different answers.

Bit of back ground first basically after university where I did marine biology and coastal ecology i managed to get a job where i ran my own air quality lab for a company in caerphilly and really enjoyed my job . Nine months after i started i was part of a company sell off and became part of a larger company and while they had no use for lab staff i was given a job as an air emissions technician. Ive been with this company for best part of three years getting various qualifications and environmental experience. Due to reasons that i do not know my treatment in my office has changed and i have decided to look else where for work.

Obviously im NOT asking for Jobs on here, It would be a bit wrong but what i am looking for is any advice on which is the best way at the moment to look for jobs, ive been told i have a a very good CV but since ive been working in one job since uni im not savy on the best way to look for jobs at the moment. Are there good recruitment agencies or websites people have heard from?

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Cheers

Ian

You could try putting your details on Monster.co.uk. I've never used it myself so can't say how good/bad it is. My sister has used it and had quite a number of interviews but her line of work is in retail and not technical like yourself.

There are recruitment agencies that specialise in a particular field, such as IT, Engineering, Accountancy, etc. The difficulty is finding which ones specialise in your field.

Try looking on the vacancies section of the Guardian website. You may find some details there of agencies that specialise in your field. Or do a search on Recruitment Specialists.

Good luck.
