Tyres and stuff....
The tyres on my PFF's are not to bad but they need a change. So, anyone want them for the track/hill climbs etc let me know and I will keep them. 225/40/18
Anyway, new black bits required on each corner. The P Zero Neros are to soft in the walls. So I am after a stronger wall. But, having spoken to the "Finance Minister" (Wife) £100 all in a corner is the budget. Once these are changed its wheel Shot Blast and relacquer(cheaper than new wheels and tyres). I am after the make that has the rim protection (oh er misses).
So....
1. What type/price? Not a tyre snob.
2. Rim protection...........no jokes please.
3. Where from location or supplier?
Ta
Oh zee anticipation

Hi Ian,
I found mytyres to be pretty cheap, (ended up buying my Rota's with tyres already fitted).

I'd steer clear of Avon ZZ3's if I were you, they don't feel too good in damp conditions. I'll probably go for Toyo T1R's or Michelin Pilot Sport 2's next time.

Michelin Pilot Sport 2's work really well in the wet and dry on PFF's and they do also seem to last that bit longer if your driving includes some blasting and some more general use.
Kwik-fit have a buy 3 get one free/25% discount type deal on which makes them competitve for the PS2's at the mo - about £125 a corner all in tho with all the extras they charge...but I would say worth every extra penny in enjoyment while you have them and that will be a little longer as they last well!

What tyres
Michelin Pilot 2 sport, good wear rate and loose a lot of the understeer, especially in the wet. Got mine from Mytyres, although you have to get them fitted, about a £100 a corner.

Managed to get 4 x Falken for £263 all in. Will have them fitted as part of the blast and refurb.
Tony in Renowheel is likely to get the work.

I've got Toyo T1-R's. They wear way too easily and I certainly dont drive my car hard! The side wall is way too soft! I certainly won't be getting them again. Goodyear Eagle F1'a all the way! (if you can get them!)
