Why can't i add photos and smileys to my threads?

i still cant do smileys,but ive got the hang of doing pics.first you need to open a photo account with someone such as photobucket or i use www.showoffyourcar.com it doesnt cost anything but you can donate if you wish,you then save your photos there then paste the link to sn thread.
