Default Finally fitted my Cocklink

Finally got around to fitting my knocklink, Picked it up on here for £75 including the Bosch sender

From this:

Had to remove the SECS unit and heater vents. Only a couple of screws and bobs your uncle

I've used a bit of gray foam to help with the mounting at moment until I can source something a bit more up to the job

#
Just feed the wires down to the head unit, I'm haven't connected these yet because I forgot to get the connectors but thats only a five minute job, I feed the sender down behind the heater matrix and accross to the passenger footwell and went out through the rubber gromit into the engine bay.

Great position Dan mine would have gone there if it was not for the PDA

Did you block the heater vent off Dan ?
I had a small square of perspex that I cut to sit inside mine then I glued that in so I can still use the vents if I wish without filling the dash up with hot air.
I've got some more if you would like a piece.

Nothing wrong with covering all basis, I have mine set up to show KC, Battery voltage, BP and coolent temp but I'm sure I'll see colured flashing lights better than the small text

KC shows up as standard, When I had a failing MAF it would show up KC, I think it went to 2.5 degres, When giving it some beans it would show 0.5-1.0 but nothing since changing the Maf.

Just wanted to use the Knock link as a extra bit of security as I'm running alot of mods and a hell of a lot of extra power

I'm unsure how the knock correction reads what does it mean, should it be 0 all the time ? or should the numbers go up when on the gas and then drop back down?

if all is okay, it shouldn't show anything, only when the sensor picks up knock this is then shown in degres of correction,

Bigbrakes, does your's not pick up the KC option, Mine would show 0.5-1.0 when hard on the gas but since I changed the MAF i've not noticed anything. So it's not correcting the ignition/timing

Should show "knock correction" measured in degrees, although this is only any good if your ECU bothers to put any correction in if it detects knock, apparantly the 99/00 Ecu sometimes ignores the knock sensor, this is why it's a good idea to have a Knocklink as well.
