Only go to DRJ if your car is standard, they had my car in for 2 days then told me they couldnt do anything with it because of the mods Apexi e.t.c.

If you fancy getting some really good service have a good drive up to API only takes about 2 1/2 hours.

My needs doing in a few weeks (about 1k miles) but I might leave it a month longer.......

I've just phone CVC Cardiff, they charge £212 inc. VAT for a 40k service.

I also phoned Powerstation and they charge £200 inc VAT.

I was hoping Powerstation would be a bit cheaper .

They both seem quite high considering all they're replacing is engine oil and filter and brake fluid. The rest of the stuff on the service list is "Inspection".

Are you implying that CVC might find a whole raft of "observations" that they recommend need to be replaced, when in fact they have at least 20k miles of road use left???

Or have I got the wrong end of the stick

Hardly worth the petrol cost, unless youre getting extras Rich

I know, I was hoping PS would be around the £150 mark inc. VAT. Good point from zippylane though.

When was the cam belt done Richie ?? with the mods you have on the car now it may pay to have one fitted if you've not had a new one on in your ownership

I want to keep a FSH going on the car, preferably a Subaru one but I'm a bit loathed to pay their prices (although PS aren't that much cheaper but API are, it's just a long way to go for a service )

Si - the car's only done 36k miles and I'm having the 40k miles/48 month service done. The car was 4 years old in September and I only had the 30k service done in June/July time (at 27k miles).

The cambelt isn't due until the next one, 60 months or 50k miles.

Is there not a dealer in Bristol that you can go to? Maybe someone at the SW met can recommend a garage? Failing that I can take it to Soton for the weekend to the garage down there? I heard your car needs a good run!
