My driver's side window doesnt shut tight to the rubbers and I have to pull it back to get it to fit properly. Think its something to do with the runners and recently the window motor has been banging when the window gets to the top ..... can anyone help or recomend anyone please ??

have you had the door card off and check all the fixings are not lose,that would be my first port of call.chris g might be able to advise you.

Sounds like the fixings easy job wip off the door card and tighten up ur nuts

Sorry I took a while my machine is in for repair so I'm on a friends ! I'm in Cwmbran so that'd be ideal for your dad to take a look for me. I didnt want to take the door card off myself just incase I made it worse.

Takes about 2 mins
When its off you see in the centre area of the door that there is 3 bolts holding the winding mechanism in place and it is these that had worked loose in fact one of mine was out but had held itself in the plastic cover that covers the door
It was this that was making my window go up and down unevenly and now works perfect
This is apparently a common fault

Followed the guide and did it no prob at all, in fact it was just like yours. One of the window mechanism bolts had fallen out and it was just a case of putting it back in a tightening up the rest .... job done, thanks for your help.
