Big mistake Rez...

They are only running Margam once this year so it will be over and done before you know it. Your much better off going to the Halfway stage on Saturday. They run the stage twice so you get twice the fun.....Its aFast stage aswell. you have them coming out of the forest area and on too tarmac. Had a few nice smashes there last year incuding Marcus Gronholm. Its a top spectator spot and highly recommended. I know i will be there again.......

Yes, I noticed that on the chat on the forum yesterday - will have to re think this.... have printed off the route maps so will all have to get together and decide where to go....

That is the same stage I want to go and see. Perhaps we should post up details here so we can arrange a meet-up. (Only because I don't know the way!!).
S Grove, what model scoob have you got then? Have only recently put an ecutek 2.5 (john banks map) on my car, and it has made a huge difference, absolutely transformed the car!

Same as mine. I am running a full de-cat, with tek2.5 and forge VTA, K+N kit on the way along with samco hoses and possible headers and an up-pipe! At the moment I am running something in the region of around 270bhp/270 torque.
It's a mod well worth doing mate, if you can you should try and come along on the rolling road day we have set up for the 11th October, that should be a really good day and it gives you the opportunity to see what kind of results people are getting with different set-ups. Helped me when I was planning all my mods.

will hopefull have it on the rolling road on Thursday at power engineering if they can still fit the EcuTek then, Got an ITG filter, magnex (bypass pipe) and magnex 6x4 tail pipe. Will be putting the original mid section on, because having the T75 twin dump downpipe fitted the same time as ecu,and dont want the hassel of putting cat back on at MOT time, So just will just have to hope the rear cat gets me through it

So who is up for arraning something for the Rally ? have to sort out who is going on what days and where everyone is coming from. I know last year if you didnt have tickets you had to enter from the north side of the stage, coming in from Garth. Even though it was an horrendous drive through a forestry it turned out to be great as we were only 500mtrs from 'Dixies'
Ive ordered my tickets today....

Im hoping my mate wil come through with some residents passes for sunday and that way i get park at the start line of the Rhondda stage.
We had this pass last year and the best thing was the police didnt even ask for it, they just moved the barriers to let me through....How mint is that ?

Just booked my tickets for a day pass for halfway on Sat.

For those who have not been to this Northern car park park before your in for a treat.

The approach road is around 7-9 miles of forest/mooreland on the army range (with traffic usually going one way) its like a rally stage in itself, dont bother washing your car before you go

Got my son & nephew with me this year so won't be driving too mad tho.

Matt,

Details of the ticket below -

Event: Saturday Day Pass 1
Venue: Wales Rally GB
Seating: CAR PARKS Q / J2 (HALFWAY)
1 x ADULT WITH ACCESS TO FELINDRE SERVICE PARK [37.50]
plus
Service fee: 7.95
plus £10 supplement if ordering one ticket

Just look at the ripoff price , it was £10 a car a couple of years ago. Its a bit cheaper if you dont go to service park.

scoobyp1 - to be honest i wasn't going that much faster, but had a few acceration squirts to lose traction a few times and have a bit of fun

Rich

I'm coming from Newport, head up past Merthyr on the by-pass onto Brecon.

Then up the B4520/B4519 (great road btw) and turn off into the army range.

Was a good run last year with not too much much traffic, it was a shambles at the stage last year though because the North car park was one of the only ones available to pay on the day.

Turned up 2 and 1/2 hours before the start of the stage to find the nine mile road closed (apparantly car park full) with loads of poeple walking it

Managed to get into crychan (a ticket only stage) and pay on the gate so salvaged something of the day.

Hopefully better this year (if my tickets turn up - its been a week already, so much for the £5 special delivery - grrr ripoff )
