Your other best bet is to send it off to a load of companies asking if they have any possitions in there company to suit you or if not could they forward it on to someone who may have something for you. Have you given your CV to any agencies ?

owain dont go down that road unless you want to do it.
if you go to sumwere like stagecoach or first bus they will tie you to them for at least two years, i passed with stagecoach and managed <just LOL> to stay a year luckly i didnt take any holidays <only sickys lol> so i had a cheque off them instead of me paying out of the bond,
As im aware now though you are bonded for £2000 ish <instead of the £650 i was bonded for> so far more unlikely to be able to break the bond.

Why don't you go back to NTL? tech support get well over 14K now.

Not that I would recomend them as an employer but the money ain't bad for this bit of the world.

MRS Stu is looking for jobs at the moment and has quite a lot of success with online recriutment agencies (I know it goes against the grain but these people are being really helpful) she gets one or two jobs emailed daily so not bombarded - give it a try.

When you send your CV out send it on Manila paper, at least 100gsm and in an A4 envelope that way it will stand out from the others.

I would remove your past saleries from the CV too, they will ask if they want to know.

My wife has been on a course for how to write a CV, I can mail hers to look at if you wish.

Stu....

i always do mate... went on that course a while back... very good it was too. have now removed previous wages too...

as for NTL, dunno if i could go back there, as kind of had a big blowup with one of the head honchos after leaving (almost a fight, actually... he was pi5sed, out in Swansea... he started it etc etc...)

doing some networking down Pembrey circuit next weekend, but anything that comes from that will take a while... maybe i'll just grab a stopgap job for now...

thanks again everybody... keep the suggestions coming... i'm more looking for JOBS than anything else though.

I can't believe i'm doing this, but here's my CV... can anyone think of a job for me? Anybody who can help will be owed an awful lot of pints!!! thanks.

please... i need a good one NOW so i can pay some money into the bank sharpish. Direct Debits going out 1/9/03 and no money in there to cover them.

Owain Morgans
DOB: 26/08/78

My Personal Profile:
I am a self-motivated, technically minded person, at ease working as a team player or on my own initiative. I thrive on responsibility. I have a flexible mind, and i am good at quickly and effectively solving problems or finding an alternative solution. I am not afraid of hard work, and i am honest and trustworthy. I get on well with colleagues, I am great with customers, and I am good at explaining and getting my point across.

My Skills
I am currently looking to turn my career path around, to go towards the field i would prefer to work in, which is the motor industry. More specifically, i would really be suited to the field of motorsport, be it building servicing or testing equipment/vehicles. I have eight years experience of keeping my own rallycar in action, having done pretty much all of the work on it myself on a very tight budget. This has forced me to be ingenious, and to find ways of fixing things and improving them, rather than just buying a replacement or paying someone else to do it.

Employment History (approx. dates):
July 2003-Present, RE/MAX Estate Agents, Llanelli.
Bringing on and selling properties on a self-employed/commission only basis, creating reports, valuing properties, showing round prospective buyers. The housing market in Llanelli, however, has stalled somewhat... first time buyers cannot afford to buy, and so no-one else can either.

October 2001-July 2003, Halfords Ltd Swansea.
Retail customer assistant, dealing with all normal shop duties, serving customers, training junior members of staff, ordering parts from Head Office or suppliers, chasing up deliveries, dealing with complaints, fitting car audio, roof boxes, speakers etc, and building and repairing bicycles. Creating add-on sales, ensuring maximum sales by correctly establishing the customer's needs.

May 2000-October 2001, Ntl Swansea.
Customer Services and Faults, dealing with complaints, taking account payments, advising customers with problems and calming irate customers. Diagnosing and rectifying faults using online systems. Liasing with other departments when there were problems with installations or main system faults. Offering advice to customers on reducing their bills, and advising on television channel package changes.

November 1997-May 2000, M&P Motorcycle Accessories Swansea.
Telesales and Customer Service assistant, taking telephone orders for motorcycle parts, dealing with complaints, chasing up suppliers and Parcelforce deliveries, training junior members of staff, selling-up customers to higher quality parts and creating add-on sales.

September 1996-November 1997, Sparesworld Ltd Swansea.
Retail Sales Assistant, Similar to Halfords mentioned above, more responsibility with regards carrying out the banking, merchandising stock to optimise sales, e.g. Summer and Winter range changes were carried out on individual store level, fitting audio, dealing with Trade customer accounts and discounted rates.

June 1995-September 1996, West End Garage / Scorpion Motorcycles Llanelli.
Trainee Motor Vehicle and Motorcycle Technician, General repairs and service work, engine rebuilds, gearbox changes and rebuilds, dealing with customers, ordering parts, delivering vehicles, prepping for spray painting work. Trained towards GNVQ level 3.

Education and Training:
February 1995-June 1995, Prince's Trust Scheme
A great scheme, aimed at getting young people to work as a team, worked at renovating a home for disabled people, had teambuilding exercises in the freezing Welsh mountains (and rivers) and generally got great experience of pulling together, as you have to do in the world of work.

June 1994-February 1995, Graig College Llanelli
Studied towards A-Level Physics, Chemistry, Biology and Maths.

September 1989-June 1994, Coedcae Comprehensive School Llanelli
Studied and gained the following GCSE's:
Maths A
Science A
Science A
Technology B
English Literature B
English Language B
Geography B
French C
Welsh C

Hobbies and Interests:
Most of my spare time is spent indulging in something to do with motor sport, working on my rallycar, practicing or competing in motorsport. I've even been known to travel to the Nurburgring racing circuit in Germany for a long driving weekend! I also enjoy going out on the weekend, socialising with my friends and partner Kate, and going to music events in the Summer, work permitting.

Additional Information:
I am able to relocate now for the right job with the right wage to make it viable. I have a full UK driving licence with experience of driving vehicles up to 3.5 tonnes. I am the holder of a British passport.
