Those of you that spoke to Nils at CVC will know there's a track day at Llandow March 8. Scoobies provisionally booked are Nils, Leigh and myself. Anyone else fancy coming along? http://bookatrack.com.
Names that spring to mind are Darren, Chris, Lee, Paul, Mark, Pete, Steve...........

I can highly recommend the bookatrack day at Llandow, having been to the one they had there back in August. If I've still got the scooby, I'll be there.
Actually, just get yerselves along to *any* Bookatrack day, they're great fun and very safe (for a trackday)...

I do fancy a crack at it but am a bit worried about the cost. £99 sounds good for the day but what about tyres, insurance etc. My Toyo's have only done about 3K so i don't really want to fork out for another set yet! How hard are the track days on the tyres?

Insurance for Bedford cost me 80.00 (because Direct Line will not cover track days), it's worth checking with your insurer as some will cover 'driver development' as none of the sessions are classed as racing or being timed.
As for tyres, i put new Toyos on the week before. Pumped them up to 42 PSI front and rear to protect the sidewalls. Didn't do too much damage, may be a little worn on the edges but nothing that drastic. That was based on about 70 track miles, which was also a full tank of petrol. That works out at 6mpg !
For me, a warm up lap followed by 5 or 6 good ones and a cooling down lap at a time is plenty and not to hard on car or driver and passenger.
It can be a bit hard on brake pads though, but that depends how late and hard (or mad) you want to be.
Overall, it's a safe way to test both the ability of car and driver and have some fun at the same time.
Hope you make it.
