if you do that make sure they have proper insurance, your own wont cover you while its being mapped.

Best bet is take it somewhere that does it all for you then no legal issues

I've used Indigo GT in Tredegar who mapped my STI blob that I sold a few months ago and also my STI V3, although I had it mapped again by Bob Rawle in Swindon around 5 months ago. He can be difficult to get hold of but a great experience to having him sat next to you live mapping a car, regarded as one of the best Subaru mappers in the UK.
