Open timed sprint events @ Elvington 2008
Straightliners are running 4 or 5 timed sprint events at Elvington this season, starting in April, dates tbc.
Will be run using new TAG Huer timing system for 2 cars individually timed at once, to cut down waiting times (safe gap obviously! )
classes for fwd, rwd, 4wd.
further details to follow once they sort everything out, i'll get the info and put it up here for peeps
open to anyone, similar format to a rwyb day as a cash on the day event.
Please note this wil be timed sprints only, no 1/4m or top speed to keep cost down.

hi
unfortunately all the sprint dates were cancelled as part of the court case on noise issues, the airfield have to run less events per year now and a lot of dates were given up as part of that. :-(

same here, i've built a kit car i wanted to sprint here first before going onto hillclimbs etc. other than msa licensed sprints you are pretty much stuffed tbh. license is £32 or £36 if i remember, and around 80-90 quid per event usually.

if you fancy getting into msa sprints then contact Shenstone and district car club, they run Curbrough and do free open days there for beginers to find out how to race, licenses etc plus drive course (2 or 3 laps).
your license is £32 or similar, and Shenstone club membership is around £20 pa. with that plus a car/helmet and suit you can go racing!
