I was at Donington today for the DPRAC track day. Great weather, had a few good runs and really enjoyed the day.

That was my second track day at Donington with the Impreza and still getting more confidence with driving it closer to the limit. You had your Smart going well in the corners I noticed and you seemed to be good in the braking zones too. In the 3rd session were you just behind me towards the end. I got to the chicane to be confronted with the dark blue Porsche Boxter sideways in the middle of the track. I had to use the kerbs and some grass to avoid it which was interesting. All in all a cracking day, hope to have my suspension uprated and ecu remapped for next years day.

Ah the Boxster, i seemed to be infront or behind him all day, also remember being confronted by him facing the wrong way at the chicane too

The Smart was painfully slow down the straights, everyone kept moving over for me as i caught them in the corners but i had a top speed of 80 down the straights and couldn't get past i was only good on the brakes as i had no speed to scrub off coming into the corners infact the brakes were woeful after a couple of laps, i almost rear-ended you going down craners once when you got stuck behind one of the slower cars into the old hairpin

I had fun down the Craners. By the 3rd session I was taking the left kink at the bottom in 4th gear about 90mph and just holding on and hoping. Redgate was a corner which I had most problems with. I do remember you getting a bit close in the Craners but that can happen as you say when you have to back off for the slower cars. That yellow RUF porsche wasn't hanging about and the two guys in the TVR Cerbra's were really pushing it. I could hang on to them in the corners but on the straights they would pull away from me. Noticed they both got black flagged in the second session for poor on track conduct. I got caught up between them and don't think they liked that as they seemed to be having their own little race.

Because it was downhill, craners was where i hit my top speed think i was hitting just over a 100 exiting the left hander. Redgate is a difficult one to get right, it's too easy to turn in too early, i told off for using my regular line into there by using the pitlane exit a few times and iff anyone should have been black flagged, it was that red Morgan

The guy in the red tvr was a really nice guy! He is a go kart racer and only 23.

Gave me a toe out for the AA when my box went bang

Were you at Donington yesterday too then and if so what were you in. The 2 guys in the TVR's sure were pushing hard and let them past on the back straight. There was a very nice Audi Sport Quattro coupe there too

Photo's are now up on the website and there is a good one of me using a fair bit of kerbing at the chicane.
