Actually the rumble strip itself didn't flip them, it was the soft earth on the OPPOSITE side of the circuit that did it.
And I was betting that it would have been another car to go off first as well... but I was wrong.

I think i know who you mean ( could be a darker coloured car maybee say 5 or 6 years old ) only car to pass me who then proceeded to brake very late into the next bend locking up all 4 and going sideways into the corner just missing killing the 3 cones sealing of the full track , and i have to admit wondering wether he or not he would make it round Lodge with or without wing mirrors.
you know who you are ( Mr Brave ).
regards TKH.

Thanks for your concern. I was that driver and am pleased to say I'm OK!
Drifted wide coming out of Lodge, caught the rear nearside wheel on rumbles went into slow 180 spin across the track, and as someone already said, the wheels dug into the earth and turned us over. The car was up against a grass mound on drivers side, an I was stuck for 20mins until they could remove passenger seat to get me out. Full marks to Oulton Parks rescue and paramedic teams! NB. anyone got any pictures I'd love to see them. IanMWoodward@AOL.com

Once again great news you're o.k. didnt take any photos as they might not have been in the best taste at the time no what i mean , however i can now give a full description upon request as to what the suspension set up on the new model looks like as viewed from underneath and have to agree that you were fortunate to be in the very capable hands of the track team see you at the next track day.

I do hope you were not betting on me going off. I certainly had a few puzzled looks from drivers under braking as i caught them up, not to mention a stream of passengers wanting a trundle round.

Stef the odds were as follows.
3:1 Somebody came off at lodge.
5:2 somebodys m.a.f. would go pop
4:3 i would need new tyres by 2 pm
66:1 it would be icy on saturday( bet placed friday mid day )
Dead cert : everybody would have a great day.
unfortunatley the betting slip got sucked out the window at dear leap which is a great shame because an accumulator bet would have paid £ 66'666.66
Regards.
Tim.

I assume that you were the chap who gave me a lift round Oulton at about 3pm. Sorry I didn't ask you for your name, but I was too busy gritting my teeth and saying various prayers, particularly going through the chicane where I think I managed to keep my eyes open after about the third lap.
Got to be one of the most exhilarating experiences I've had in my life.
Cheers
