Ricky , Both on Fulford road are good, close to town, 15 min to Elvington BY CAR. the one at Earswick is 50 yards from my house its very nice BUT in the sticks , again 15 min to Elvington BY CAR , hope this helps Alan.

 

Sutton on Derwent is next village to Elvington, so you could try their.

Either Pocklington, on anything in that region. Depends if you want the nightlife of York centre of not.
