Track Day Ringwood 9th August!
#1
Ringwood near Bournmouthe has a MOD Proving ground, the circuit is like no other ive been on in the UK!
Its just over 3 miles long which is more like a great A road and the surface is just like a road to tyre wear is lower than most circuits! The day will be from 9am to 4pm on track with Open Pit Lane.
All services ie Marshalling and Medical Services will be available through the organisers ICM, There will be a maximum of 14 cars for the whole day so the circuit is great with no one slowing you down.
The cost for the whole day is £100 Only! There is a Shell Station right near the circuit, Lunch when you feel like it and the hosts are brilliant and let you play as much as you like on track!
Some of us are planning on staying the night before for £25 per person, please email or call me on harj@hsingh.freeserve.co.uk or 07968 077908.

There's a few of us local to the track who could be interested, but are you sure it's suitable for road cars?

Had a chat to a couple of local rally boys, they use it about 4 times a year, tarmac stage. I carn't make the 9th, but I would love to have a crack at it the next time, will bring 22b. Just what we needed on our doorstep, although I want to check it out first.

Have you seen the movie off the Clio web site, does look quite good fun!
I may try and get down there for a look on that Friday 9th although it doesn't seem like it is going to be that easy to get in.

Ray the location is on Boundry Lane, Just outside Ringwood off the A31.
Weve got some interesting cars going, gonna be huge fun.
Sorry BTW Spectating is limited on the day due to parking so its not going to be feasable for viewers unless you accompany someone who is on track.

I have been here many times.
The area is also used by Forest Edge Kart Club (since about 96), they have paid for a lot of the the work to be done in the area around the figure of 8 section (tarmac, kerbage, tyre banding, armco, semi perm cones).
But there is also some long perimeter sections (easily reach 130mph), chicanes, bits of the kart circuit with proper kerbage etc. Some fast bends, although quite narrow in places, and while the kart club has removed some trees, if you **** up at speed you can do some real damage.
There is running water, power, chem bogs (but they are much improved of late) quite a bit of parking (depending on where you want to run).
If you like you can also try the tank ramps, off road concrete humps etc, not recommend if you like your suspension.
Good venue, but make sure anything that is organised keeps the place tidy etc, or you won't be going back. Combination of MOD and tree huggers means place is kept in a1 condition, and woe betide anyone that leaves it in a bad state.
