Default Ride height adjustment.

Recently had a complete geo setup on my car at its current ride height. But after spending the day parked up next to a few other Imprezas yesterday I realised how bloody high my car sits.
I've got fully adjustable AST's on my car so can adjust the ride height (not sure how too though, lol) but would this mean I would need another geo setup or would it not affect anything ?

Next question, how do I go about lowering it...
It's got winders on the shock below the spring, is it just a case of having the wheels of and winding them up/down to adjust.

Yes pretty simple to adjust Matt, use the c-spanner supplied with coilovers and simply adjust them down but e sure to keep it even both sides.
AND yes it does mean another geo setup as the angles change slightly when dropping the ride height,BUT in all honesty I would drive it after and if it feels fine and drives straight just enjoy it and save your money

Yup the geo will need setting up again.
On my bcs the rideheight is adjusted by the bottom nut on the strut .
The top nut adjusts pre load and middle is a lock nut.

Just eat more and weigh the front down

Think I'll adjust them and see how the car feels. I'll make a mark of where they are now so can always adjust back if need be.

Still confused on how to do it though...

How much lower are you thinking of going? Remember the Impreza doesn't like going low, coilovers or not...

You're low at the front. Front wheel arches are cut larger than rears which is why some scooby's look saggy arsed Yours looks the opposite, so you have quite a rake. I wouldn't set a lot of rake into the car. A few reasons for this, but the main ones are that you will be reducing rear droop as well as reducing effective front caster angle (sort of). I suppose if anything raising the front by 10mm will be good thing, but your toe will probably need to be adjusted to suit.

I think that sits really nicely as it is! You'll run out of suspension travel if you drop it any more!

I thought it looked fine when i looked at it, i think you were comparing it to three newages you were parked next too which all had splitters making them appear even lower.

Looks perfect to me! Infact the whole car looks great! Keep the ride height as it is. All decked out super stiff cars say to me is they arn't driven properly on proper roads!
