Something Bent?
Hi All,
I have a MY99 wagon, and noticed yesterday that the off side front wheel sits further back in the arch than the near side, by about 5-10mm.
Very scientific way of telling, I could get the key of my wifes car in the gap on the near side but it wouldn't fit on the offside.
Mods on front suspension are alloy wishbones, ALK and whiteline bumpsteer kit, and bc coilovers.
Does any one have any idea what may cause this?
Thanks
Andy

Get the car up on some ramps ( proper ones ! ) loosen the rear Wishbone mounting, insert crowbar and re-tighten.
A really big hit from a pothole could shift the wishbone.
dunx
P.S. Or it could be bent....

The ALK increases the caster which would push the wheel slightly closer to the front of the wheelarch. It's not unusual to have a degree or so difference in caster from one side to the other. Also, as you have BC's, is the ride height equal on both sides? This can only be checked on DEAD level ground.
