Default Standard hawkeye STI ppp suspension very bouncy

Hi
I have a hawkeye STI with ppp although I know the ppp doesn't include any suspension mods. I can tell the car is definitely not lowered as it sits very high. Is all standard hawkeye STI suspension bouncy? I don't mind firm rides and have had many a lowered car with much firmer suspension that my sti which was never bouncy like this. What can be done to improve this? And while I am at it make car more confident in cornering as I don't feel it is as stable as it could be going round corners.

Thanks for any help and info.

Shocks and springs or coilovers to get rid of the bouncing. 22 or 24mm rear ARB to get rid of the understeer.

Unfortunately Hawkeye STI suspension is rubbish to harsh, bounce and crashy. Coilovers on a softer set up with 22mm or 24mm ARB will sort it out.

Regarding stability in corners I would recommend a good fast road geometry set-up with 4 wheel alignment this will make a massive difference if you don't want to spend to much but it wont stop it bouncing.

Thanks guys. Any recommended shock and spring kits? H&R and Eibach are supposed to be good but not found anyone with a hawkeye STI who has used either and what about Prodrive - their website doesn't seem to offer shock and spring kits. Any other good recommended makes? Coilovers would be good but a lot more pricey and I don't need my suspension to be adjustable.

Is it just a rear anti-roll bar I would need or a front one too (if there is a front one - shows my knowledge )?

I would seriously ditch the std KYB rubbish and get coilovers.

Try the rear ARB and droplinks first. See how you get on with that setup before you decide if you want the front too.

Thanks guys. Can anyone recommend some good coilovers or lowering springs with dampers, which wont break the bank? I've heard of BC coilovers. Is this "Buddy Club"? Are they good quality?

Will lowering springs alone cure the bouncing or do I need dampers as well (as I have read on here many people just fit lowering springs)?

I'm biased cos I got through 2 sets of subaru struts in the 3 year warrantee.
The prodrive springs do reduce the bouncyness.
I solved the handling/ride issues including this annoying bouncyness especially on the motorway by fitting BC coilovers myself.
2 years later I'm still happy with my decision.

well thats a relief!! i thought it was just mine..

mines sounds like ive got something in the boot rolling around!! as well as bouncing round corners. doesnt give me much confidence tbh.

ive read a few things about the rear shocks giving up, something about them being inverted and the grease going dry?!?!?

anyways been reading about the whole hog setup from AST supllied by litchfield or powerstation..

http://www.litchfieldimports.co.uk/s...02&inc=product

http://www.powerstation.org.uk/subaru_chassis.asp

when ive saved the pennies i will maybe go with the powerstation STAGE 3 setup as they are abit closer to me..

hope this helps.
