Default wheel spacer and wheel nut help needed

just fitted some 5mm spacers on the rear of my 02 sti and there is onlyvabout 8-9mm of thread left for the nut , will this be ok

fitting steel nuts

IIRC the nuts need to be turned 9 times to be secure.

hi phil . extended studs are better when fitting spacers . the nuts will go on but not as secure as said above .

I bought 20mm longer studs and open ended nuts for my sister's classic so that she can run 10mm spacers with ease I'll be running 5mm spacers on mine soon so that my wheels clear my new brakes and I'll be doing the same again.

Better to be safe than sorry

Have heard the bearings ware out quicker with spacers?

That's right, it puts extra strain on them.

how much of a job isit to change the studs , just wondering if worth it just for 5mm ...lol

its a fair job , the fronts are easy its the rears that give you a bit of a pain in the *** lol

my bearings must be sceaming then with 18x9s and 10mm spacers lol
