Tein top mount bolts - one snapped!
ARGH! There's been a squeaking on my struts since having a 4 wheel alignment done. Rang the guy up who was very helpful and advised me to slacken the adjuster bolts off (marking their position first), going from lock to lock then tightening back up.
Sadly, like a gimp, I over tightened one (or it was weak to start with!) and its sheared off.
I assume any 10.9 rated hex bolt will do with the same thread? Am I ok driving the car with just 3 on til I get it replaced?

Lofty it gets even worse, Lee had his car geometry done and all seemed well, except for the knocking....
At Oulton Park Warren's spanneman Dave had a look and nearly pulled the front wheel off with his bare hands....
The hub to strut bolts were both loose !
Sod that I'm going diy !

Thats a shame i was thinking about taking my car to the same bloke rather than track torque just to save some ££, i will have to ask Lee if he still thinks his bloke is worth using, i'm sure it was a one off although very lucky nothing happened.

He's sorting it out for me on Wednesday
The car does handle very well - once it's all done Lofty I'll take you for a blast
Duncan - we drove all the way from your house to Oulton with the wheel hanging off Apparently the 11mm camber that was on the struts after we did them meant there was no play - the second they were aligned the noise came to the surface. I'm not convinced....I'm still gonna torque wrench everything afterwards!
