Question What to pay for sti alloy wishbones?

Have a 1994 import impreza SA wagon 5sp...

Am changing to B&C coilovers and was going to put these on?

Seen a pair for £80 plus p+p (£20)

Is that any good???...also are they straight swap??

And do they use same bushes/bolts/ALK?

Cheers have been reading but dont know conclusively

OK cheers. I'm just looking at the way the anti roll bar connects. These pictures should explain what I mean.

How does that work?

I have just done this on my 98 Classic, as broke mine. The alloy ones fit straight on, and ALK is the same, but the offset of the ARB bracket on the arm means new droplinks.

I got mine off of ebay- they are the ones for an Import I believe- solid metal, with what looks like offset ball joint at either end- think they were £25 or something.

BTW, that is a good price for a pair- paid a lot more for mine. I would also say dont bother, and fit a bushing and ALK kit. I have mine polybushed all round, with BC's and an uprated 22mm adjustable ARB on the rear.

best value was rear ARB and ALK (plus solid droplinks all round). Dont buy the hardrace ALK bushes though- just fitted a hardrace ALK kit on mine, and its too stiff for me I think.

That's great information. Thank you... but what do you mean by ALK?

Any chance I could talk you into posting a picture like mine above please? It would help others as well. What model is yours? UK?

Also. See the picture of the alloy wishbones above? They don't look symmetrical to me on the anti roll bar brackets.... or is that an optical illusion?

You aren't in Hampshire are you? I'd like to check out your BC set up.... I'm on the cusp of deciding what to do. Sounds like we are on similar paths.

Im in Jersey mate Its a fast road, track and events car. Not used daily so can be quite firm, and recently fended off another car to set a new hillclimb record

Here are some pics- in the first one you can se the ARB mount- I got annoyed and coated everything in copper slip! In the bottom right of that pic you can just about see the Anti Lift Kit (ALK), and clearer in third pic. The anti lift kit gives a bit more camber and castor, and stops the front lifting and diving as much.

Pics are fresh- just took them- hope it helps.

Well you should be able to see the droplinks you need from that pic, but if it was me, rear anti roll bar, anti lift kit and solid droplinks allround to start- then see.

You are a star! Thanks so much for taking the time.

I must give mine a clean after seeing yours!!!

One last question. What do you make of my pic of the alloy wishbones? Do they look non symmetrical to you?

The cleanliness is an illusion in part- thats new stonechip paint on the bottom, as had an off at the last event

They are symetrical- its an illusion too.
