Unhappy My sti suspension bad news

Im totaly gutted, I've heard a knocking on my car over the last couple of weeks and at first I thought it was the diff.
Anyway I popped over to the scooby clinic today and there mechanic took it out and confirmed that the shocks are shot
I couldn't beleive it as my car is only just 3 years old and has only covered 17k.

He said that on the newage sti's they are totaly rubbish and a really common fault, thing is he said even if I replace them with new oem shocks it will happen again.

So im on the look out for a set of coilovers, scooby clinic quoted me £1121 suplied and fitted but Im really in no position at the min to pay that much, If I cant find a second hand set I will just have to put up with the knocking till I can afford to but them.

GUTTED!!!!

Mine is a family car as well, better than std comfort to really hard adjustability.

Don't expect them to be silent, solid top mounts will make some extra noises. But the improvement over the std stuff is amazing.
Ride on motorway journeys seems far better than std and entertaining roads are a blast.
